If you have any questions about any of this, feel free to ask.Host a Game – Developer TaleWorlds has provided you with all the options you could want in terms of setting up a server. Or alternatively you could convert to a different file type using a converter then edit it instead. Personally I use Gimp 2 with the DDS plugin, but anything that can edit a DDS file should work. They also share the files with each other, so you'd have to use some image editor to extract them and save them as a separate file. The icons and such are located in the several. While the "s100" at the end is the folder name you created. The "s100.pack" can be interchanged with any other pack file there for extraction of the others. Type "squeezer.exe /e s100.pack s100" without quotes. Type "cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warlock 2" without quotes into it.Ĥ. Name doesn't actually matter, but personally I just use the name of the.

Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warlock 2" or where ever your install directory is.Ģ. You'll have to change that if you changed the install location.ġ. In order to extract things from there you'd have to use squeezer.exe, provided with the game. Yeah, they're stored in the s100.pack file in the install directory. I would keep it to single tile, but you don't have to. If you want a different terraforming effect, just change that name to the name of any terraforming spell you want. Change the fountain's "" to "sp_n_water_pump". If you want the terraforming ability I'd just steal the Water Spring's. If you want one of the other sized fountains, you should be able to take their viewdata entries despite them not actually being buildings. Keep an eye out for "war_bld_n_pump_tower" so you don't grab it by accident. Or just the parts you want if you only want part of it. The fountain is called "bld_n_pump_tower" in those, so just copy its entries over your placeholder. You'll only need data.xml and viewdata.xml for this, as you can edit the localisation in the editor. In case you don't have them already extracted with squeezer.exe. Here are the current version's main files: Files.zip?dl=0 But keep the new name so that it stays as a separate entry. I would create a placeholder building and then overwrite its data with the info from the main files. Thanks for helping to test and any insight! But I notice it in-game with unit perks more than anything else.

But I'll still see the same flicker in a completely new mod after adding the first custom image.Īnd yes, this same flicker happens for custom spell icons, artifacts, fraction perks, etc. Or maybe it has to do with the number of custom images I've added. I can swear that I don't remember seeing this in the beginning. If not, perhaps it's just something odd with my computer or cached files or something. So assuming it's a global issue, you should see your custom icon flicker, too. It's easy to see against the other icons that are unmodified. When I do this, each time I push the button, the custom icons I made all flicker. Then put your cursor in the search field and repeated click the backspace button. Then, once you've finished the new perk, click the 'Modify' button.

I've been using 24bit TGA files, but I've noticed this flicker with 32 bit PNGs and JPGs, too. So here's another way to test itĬreate a new unit perk and give it a custom 64圆4 pixel icon. I'm getting the same flicker in the editor.

So hopefully people will use both together. It's not unplayable - just awkwardly arranged. Without your mod, everything shifts around in the trees. I'm sure you know how fragile the research trees are (oh, how I've cursed). I'm going to strongly encourage people to use it in tandem with this mod, since I redesigned the research tree with your water spells in place. But rather than leaving this to fate, is there something else I should be doing to ensure new art loads seamlessly?ītw - I love your 'Water Terraforming Spells' mod. So my hope is that when I do, the editor will package everything and make it work seamlessly without any flicker or lag. I thought that using smaller files might fix it, but the flicker appeared even when using ~1 KB JPG files.

It's a little irritating and I'd love to get rid of it. They look great, but I notice that there's a slight flicker when you mouse over them - as though they constantly need to reload. My mod adds a variety of new icons to the game.
